I had one for a samurai like that, it drove me crazy! I used google to translate sections at a time, but it was still a pain.

rap2me, the 83 FSM will be nearly the same, if not identical to the 82 FSM. I would just use the 83 FSM for your application.

Just downloaded the FSM. Thank you. I will be starting to rebuild my 79 shortly and I'm sure this will help me out.

Download worked great for me. Thanks for that!
Is this applicable to an 81? I didn't see years on it.

Yotantn, the 1983 FSM will work fine for you. Pretty much everything is the same. Your main interested in most things is torque specs.

Manual

I tried to download this and it tries to make me sign up for an account. Is it supposed to do that? Can you update it or email it to me at:
mtrdud322@aol.com
Thanks

You can trust pretty much everything, always keeping the knowledge in your head that it's not the right year.

Almost everything will be exactly the same. But you should have a 20R engine, not 22R, and likely not an L50 5-speed transmission. Wiring will be slightly different.

But torque specs are the same, carb tuning is the same, process for getting most things on & off will be the same.

Just make sure your ears perk up when you're working on your 20R and the manual is talking about a 22R. If something doesn't match up, ask questions here.
