1982 toy truck with 5 mge swap

I was recently out wheeling with a friend that has a 1982 custom toy truck. He fabbed his own 4 link rear suspension set-up using 1/2 springs mounted upside down.It has great flexibility. It has a 5mge engine swap done all ready but he is looking for ways to easily gain some more power. He would like to pick-up 20-30 more horsepower if he can with out major work.He has dual transfer cases so is satisfied that he has more than enough gear to do what he wants. He would just like to gain a little more power for turning the wheels.I suggested a exhaust header, some type of cold air/snorkle system, possible adjustable cam gears,he may machine the cylinder head due to a previous over heat issue. What Header would you recomend and How much power could you gain? What kind of power would you gain from a cold air system? What kind of power can you gain by planning the head?
If anyone could answer these questions it would be great.

Id say you could gain about 15hp max. at the crank with a header and cold air intake.

Id think 150hp(stock) wouldn't be a problem.
