Sounds like a cool project and a ton of work...
I would suggest that you check out this forum: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=12
I think that you might be able to find some of your answers there as Pirate is more into that sort of mods...Good luck

I wouldnt bother with 1/2 ton running gear, as the stock toyota parts are as strong as a d44.
If you want to upgrade either beef up the yota' axles or get dana 60/ford 9"...

sorry i dont have any pics basically i left the chevy axles uncut i also like the wide look. when i did my swap i used skymanufacturings toyota full width kit
I have 5inch toyota springsf&r than i used chevy u-bolts. i also invested in a set of crane high steer knuckles for the front axle that way it fixes the weak chevy knuckes. i did have to take and have brake lines made than i up graded to a chevy brake booster and master clinder and a wilwood proportioning valve cause i am running a set of 36s

where you located? If your going to pull your toyota gear out, people on here would take it, at least the front axle. First dibs though if your within 100 miles of me which your probably not.

I wouldnt bother, Why not just buy a Chev instead? save alot less work, this is coming from a guy that hates the wide/fullsize running gear look though.

what i forgot to mention was the cool part of full width axles is you can run a 3inch lift and run 39.5inch tires
