FS: 2002 4Runner sport aluminum skid plate
SOLD!
This is the front aluminum skid plate for a 2002 4Runner Sport. It is a popular mod for anyone looking for a nice looking custom mod. I'm took it off my 1998 4Runner (it was an after-market addition). It adds a nice aggressive OEM look to your front bumper, without being too outrageous.
This skid plate is in good condition, with a few very slight rock dings in it. I'm pretty sure this will fit any 3rd gen 4Runner (1996-2002 and similar year Tacoma), the brackets bolt on to the same bolt holes as your front tow hooks (you do retain the hooks, the bracket goes between the hook and the frame).
Asking $50 plus shipping (about half-price compared to new). Will be shipped from 87544, I need to weigh the skid plate and brackets for a shipping estimate.
Note the gap in the picture between the bottom of the bumper and the skidplate will be less on your vehicle (looks better that way IMO), my 4Runner has a 1" body lift on it...

That's about the best closeup I have with the skidplate on, since it has since been removed. I will take a picture of the skidplate off the 4Runner in a little bit.

I'm betting it was originally off of a Tacoma and if you have the fatlip bumper it'll require some simple plate extensions to move the skidplate forward about 3" to fit the bumper otherwise it's stuffed under it. If it has original '02 brackets then it's no problem.

Still available...
Ok, so the skid plate is still available as it turns out shipping to the Bahamas is prohibitive for the potential buyer.
As for the issue of the Tacoma/4Runner brackets, I'm going to take pictures of the brackets, it would seem that I might have the Tacoma ones (since I don't have the fat-lip bumper and the skid plate doesn't stick way out in front of the bumper) so I'm going to take some pictures of the brackets and post them here.

So the skid plate is indeed off of a 2002 4Runner, the brackets were just reversed for me to assure the plate didn't stick out too far. This means this plate is theoretically compatible with any 1996-2002 4Runner.
Here are some better pics of the skid plate and the mounting brackets. The skid plate has some slight discoloration near the back, but this won't show when it is installed.
What you're getting:
Passenger side bracket (photo-chopped to make it more obvious which is the bracket.)
Driver's side bracket (also photo-chopped)
