i got a filter today and *tried* to install it, but it is hard as heck to get in. i've been reading that all of yall that have them say they are a tight fit...but this is crazy. once i push the filter down, it takes a LOT of pushing to make it tilt back into place. and if i ever get it 'in place' i can't get the lid closed for the life of me. i almost think that its not shaped correctly at the rounded corners, but i dont know. were there any other tricks yall had to do to get this thing in and close the lid???

Ya just gotta work with it, I thought I wasn't gonna be able to get it, try pushing down on the filter lid and then manually putting the latches in place...its definitely a tight fit but thats a good thing...it'll get there, just gotta be patient.

i just bought one of these from jason. as always, easy to work with jason and always prompt on the communications.
bruce, i tried mounting this by flipping the filter end over end (but still keeping wire mesh side towards the intake tube), but its still a TIGHT fit. like 4x4fink, i have to manually lift the clips up to close the lid. i mean, tight is good, but this is ridiculous! i'll probably give it a shave in a few places to see if it works out.

I recently picked up another one, so I can clean one and set it aside, when I went to install the new one it wouldn't fit. After close inspection I noticed it wasn't moulded properly, so I took my disc grinder and shaved a few places down, finally got it to set in place, but the lid woudn't close right. I then shaved down the frame where the lid was hitting and it now closes properly. My other filter is sitting inside my garage, I need to take some pictures of it before cleaning, this thing is packed full of dirt and none made it to the other side, for those of you that saw how dirty it was in Death Valley know what I'm talking about.

I mean no dissrespect Jason, but to those canadians out there, I ordered my true flow air filter from canadian tire without any shipping charges. The filter was tight fit, but it works excellent.
