Wheeling Pics

Had the chance to do a little wheeling yesterday as the much needed rain in NC made for some fun conditions. The pics don't really do much justice to the part where I had to use my winch, I basically descended down into a 4 foot creek bed and then couldn't quite make it up the other side because one of the the ruts was about 1.5 feet deep and the 4runner was at a pretty bad angle. Maybe could have made it, but I kinda just wanted to use the winch . Anyway, there were some pretty steep hill climbs and descents, had to use 4low and would have been completely screwed without the rear lock-have a whole new respect for that now. On with a few pics.

nice looking rig, looks like fun. Yea mud rain and leaves are not a good combo for a hill climb!

Looks like you had fun. Nicce looking truck. Where are you in NC, I'm down here in Wilmington and there is really not a whole lot to places to wheel. It's all sand and mud. The girls down here are nice though!

I go to school at Carolina but I'm from Kinston. I was just riding down the road and happened to find this trail running near some power lines just outside of Chapel Hill and figured I'd give it a whirl. One of the few places I've found that is not just one mud hole after another going down a sewer line.

My girlfriend graduated from UNC so I've been up there a few times and saw some potential trails that would have been nice to explore unfortunately we in her Scion. I think a few of us from NCTTORA will be up in the Raliegh area on Nov. 2 for the opening of 4wheel parts (forgot the name).
