mightymouse's first trip after lift, LSD, and 33's

Well i went out for the first time this year after installing new shocks lift lsd 33's springs and other stuff. I put the mouse through it's paces and tried as i might it kept chugging along and refused to stop.
to give you guys and gals reading this some background. My rig started out stock ten years ago and has evolved to this. Not much i know but it's what i wanted and suits me well. A few month ago i installed new alcan springs 4.88" a lsd in the rear, ball joint spacers, bilstien shocks, downey ifs brace, idler arm truss, downey shacles, among many other upgrades.
My friends property lies just an hour and a half outside of st. louis on 800 acres covered in limestone and clay. It's rough and slick at the same time. After he heard me talk about what i recently did to my rig he insisted that i head out to the property to give it a go. He drives a well equipped jeep rubicon jk and knows the area well. He has about 20 miles of trails cut through the property to get to various destinations for fishing and hunting. I appollogise for the lack of action shots for the carnage hungry audience but i was driving and had little opportunity to get out and shoot. This is what i got but overall a great trip. We'll have to do it again.

Yes that's an old cj7 stuck in the gravel bar. Apparently it was left there overnight when the battery died and a flash flood came through that evening and buried it 8 years ago. There's great fishing there for small mouth. I landed a few good size goggle eye and a couple good size small mouth as well.

These pics are all in between trails.

some local foliage for ya. Sorry these are really gorgeous. i couldn't pass up a photo opp. All the flowers are off the trail so don't worry we tread lightly.
The best trail was the one dubbed the roller coaster and sure enough it lived up to it's name. Nice steep drop followed by some serious climbs.
I just wanted to share with you all. To say the least i was very impressed with my rig and felt confident throughout. Thanks for looking. Feel free to comment.

It's been there for at least eight years! I can't imagine that it's worthy of digging up. Besides it created some really nice habitat for some lunker smallmouth bass. I agree though it would be a fun challenge to try and pluck it from it'd grave. I just don't have a big enough dozer to do the job.

Man what a way to pollute the environment. Think of all the chemicals dumped into the water. Nice pics though!

Yeah i agree with you jamesd but that's only half the story and a small part of the problem down in that area. The major problem down there is the meth labs and the huge amounts of chemicals they dump into the area. At least the old jeep created some cool habitat for fish to live in. I guess that's looking at the glass as half full.

Yeah i kinda lucked out when it came to tires. A friend of mine owns a toyota shop and deals with toyotas only. He's very fair and when he came across a set of lightly used 33x12.50's he sold them to me along with the rims for 350.00. They're summit mud dawgs (maxxis bighorns) and perform better than i expected. If you search craigslist i'm sure you can find a good set for a reasonable price.

BUG SPRAY! it works i promise. So far this year i've been out and about quite a bit and the first thing i do is spray down my legs and arms with OFF deep woods. I'm just as paranoid when it comes to ticks. I've only found a couple crawling up my leg so far and they were the big ones. Not the tiny ones that carry lime disease.
