He was there for the TTORA thing I think, but he happened to run into us on his own.
The stories are true, he really is a nice guy.
I was behind him for a while and we talked a bit and he spotted me on an obstacle or two.
I've got lots of pictures (around 200), they should be up tomorrow.
It was a great run guys, my buddy Kelvin and I had a great time. I didn't mind the trails taking a while to complete, it was a good time meeting new people and old ones again.

The trip was awesome! My gf, sister, friend, and I enjoyed the Gold Mtn run very much! Just want to thank Lance and everyone for making this happen. This was our first Yotatech event and we hope to make it to more in the future. I will post pics later tonight once we get them uploaded.
Thanks again and it was great to meet everyone!

Marlin is no doubt the man when it comes to Toys. He started spouting off Toyota trivia like it was nothing. This is the man you want to give your money to when it comes to crawler cases. And if you need it fixed in the field - look out for that magic carpet he'll pull out of his rig.
I think Mikey was so pumped by the whole Marlin spotting that he was in a cloud at the time of the alleged fender bender.

Well, I made it home safe a little after 8pm last night. I just got finished cleaning out the runner and swapping tires. I will post pics tonight.

Thanks to Austin for getting the ball rolling on this trip. I had a blast on this trip. Also, thanks to Lance for keeping it organized. Thanks to Jason Demello and Darrin and all the ttora group. I think I am still getting rid of all the carne asada they force fed me. Big thanks to Evan of Northridge Toyota for the schwag, I am sure I will be ordering something soon.
It was great to meet Loren (voodoo), Steve (SoCal80), his gf, and Will and his gf. We caravaned up the mountain together, sorry for all the u-turns.
Saturday's run was awesome, I couldn't believe how many vehicles showed up in that parking lot. Next year I will do John Bull with everyone, sliders are next on the list. From what I hear, I am glad I didn't try it without sliders.
Holcomb Creek on Sunday was the highlight of my trip. Big thanks to Lance and Josh for spotting me through the creek rock garden. That trail was the first time I have really felt that I needed a locker. I had to back up a few times and choose a different line, but I am happy to say that I made it through unscathed.
It was a pleasure to meet everyone, and I can't wait for the next big event. Hopefully, we will be able to all camp together next year. Now on to the pics:

The night before Marlin told me he really wanted to try JohnBull, but wasn't too sure his busted front diff would pose a problem. I told him it shouldn't be that difficult. I drove past him heading back to the TTORA camp, on my way out to join up with the rest of the group before the JohnBull run. When he came pulling up on us, he said he spotted me heading out and decided to go it. That's right he completed the trail with a broken front ring gear! BTW back at the TTORA's campsite he said he really enjoyed our group
