Securing subwoofer
In an attempt to thwart any future break-ins for audio equipment in my truck, i would like to know if anyone has any good ideas for how to lock up or secure a subwoofer. it sits behind the drivers seat in my ex-cab. i take it out when i wont be around my truck for more than a day, but someone could break in at any time and i want to try to make it more difficult for them to take it. any ideas?

1. remove sub from enclosure
2. bolt enclosure to truck from inside
3. secure subwoofer in enclosure with bolts and nylocks as was mentioned or use torx or some odd drive screws. These aren't impossible to get out, but they are a little more rare than your average phillips head screw, so you'll slow the majority of crooks down.
Of course now instead of just taking the box, a motivated thief will probably break it and part of your truck trying to rip it out.
I have also put brackets on the outside of the box before. If you put a bracket down off the front of the box that bolts into the seat bench, you can hang a bit of box carpet down over the brackets to hid them. This isn't as secure as inside the box, but will at least slow someone down.

build something custom that bolts in all over the place and is entirely secure. thats what i plan on doing. building a box thats attached to the truck in like 6 different places with bolts all around, and if im leaving it somewhere for a long period of time, i'll put a blanket or something over it. alarm systems help too. if ur totally paranoid, throw a tracking device on the inside of the box. lol. wont slow em down, but it'll trip em up. i installed some bolts with an eye on each end of my box which line up to the stock cargo tie downs in the back of the 4runner. you can kinda see them in this pic. i know you have a truck but you get the general idea. i guess if they had a phillips screw driver they could un-screw all 8 screws but i would thing that would take a pretty brave and/or stupid crook to sit back there for all that time.
