Need XM Commander Install Pictures

Anyone have pictures of their XM Commander Install in a 3rd gen 4runner? I am going to purchase one this week, and I just want some install location ideas. BTW my ashtray is already taken up by a CB. Thanks!

You can also use a "Frame" to install it, I might buy that off of ebay cause the one I plan on buying does not come with it. BTW for everyones information, this is my 700th post, not that im counting or anything

Can't you make a frame? Get a solid piece of plastic or metal. It's probably less expensive.

BTW......from www.OEMValue.com

Recent News - May 18th, 2005

More Camry Navigation Systems just arrived! If you do not have the JBL sound system preinstalled, you will need to purchase the amplifier from another source as we do not have any amplifiers in stock at this time. We also do not have any speed/reverse sensor plugs either however they can be purchased from your local Best Buy. Click here for Toyota Navigation information.

Units are sold on a first come, first serve basis. We do not hold waiting lists.

That looks to be the same size as that other unit in the glass/garage remote box.

Do you have the fat visors? What about hollowing a small spot out for it?
Do you have that gap next to the aux. "cig" lighters? You can "make" it fit there.

Dibble,

Mine has an angled piece of plastic on the back of the controller that was then attached to the empty space in front of the 4x4 shifter with the wire going down the boot opening. I don't have it installed now but I can send you another pic of the back of the unit; PM me your address again. This might solve your mounting issues w/o drilling or gluing; I used Velcro to attach it to the console.

heres what my install looks like: I might change it to the location next to the 4wd shifter like richard suggested, i found its easier to rest my arm on the 4wd shifter and surf channels, ill live with each for a while and see what i like best.
