Brake Pad Recommendation?

Can anyone recommend brake pads for the front of a 97 T100 4x4 Xtra Cab? Frankly the braking on this truck is not the best, so I was going to at least change the pads in the front, just wondered if anyone had luck with another pad choice or is OEM best? Any thoughts?

My vote is for OEM, sometimes aftermarket pads have the organic and metallic mixture to a point where it will squeak when braking.

I checked autozone.com, you have the same pads as a 3rd gen 'runner, which Gadget recommends Autozone Performance Friction (same material as TRD, supposedly).

I've had them on my last two vehicles, and love 'em.

Tell them you have a 97 Landcruiser, and get Performance Friction part number 5024 (about $40, lifetime warranty)
