LED lighting reviews, pics etc.

Figure I would start a thread pertaining to LED lights, light bars, specs, pics etc.

And as aviator suggested lets try to keep the led dash lighting separate, as this has been covered in quite a few other threads

As this is going to be the norm lets get some pics and info on anything to do with these new lights, most are scared away from the price but I figure I would start this to help out anybody thinking of upgrading or having a hard time deciding if these are the way to go.

Here is the link to my recent purchase of the trucklite LED's review.

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f131...review-265275/

Also a couple of links to some companies that are and have been producing these for a while.

Well that's all I got for now, I have recently been looking at the new kc cube flush mount for my truck, I'm going to take some pics tomorrow and get some opinions on flushing them in my grill, not sure yet though.

Anyway post up pics, reviews whatever that has to do with LED lighting!!

And once again to keep it separated lets keep dash lighting in the other threads

Thanks guys.

Great idea for a one stop info thread Disco... you might want to make it clear you are not talking about dash light mods so folks don't get confused...

Well dangit the KC cube that I have been looking at has not been released yet, the standard mount is available but the flush mount won't be till early summer. Might start looking at the rigid stuff depending on how impatient I start getting

rigid is one of, if not the most over priced led bar out there. do some searching around and you will find bars for cheaper and are brighter with the same housing design and lenses.
there are so many people selling so many light bars now that paying full price for any of the big brands is just crazy. on top of that, if you search on alibaba you can find some good deals on some good lights and import your own bars from china. i was all set to start selling them but it seems like everyone and there brother has started so its just not worth to me to do it anymore.

Here's a link to one of those alibaba LED light bars...

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/51...w_10800LM.html

note in product description it says it is suitable for mounting on "rails, rocket launchers or flat surfaces"... I guess they are "targeting" a variety of customers...

here's the link to the main alibaba lighting page...

just spent 20 mins looking through the first 2/3 pages of products... man there is some funky stuff coming out of China... "video" displays for wheel rims, logo lights that project on to ground when door opens, an interesting LED H4 conversion kit... all at very affordable prices... many different yet similar off road lights...

Well no good news for the kc cubes I was looking to get, apparently the flush mount kit won't be available till end of summer so I might just wait to see how they look.

Problem I am having is working with a stock front end is difficult to mount lights without a lot of thought and fabbin. I hate lights hanging all over the place so I'm trying to squeeze 1 more set and at the same time keep it classy.

Anyhoo

Buddy of mine recommended Tribalwhips.com

I haven't personally used them, but comparing the ones he got from Tribalwhips to the equivalents I have from Rigid, I think his are brighter...

Cool!! I like the whips would be useful for night wheeling but the bar looks cool and almost too cheap? The one your comparing to your rigids is the one for 35 bucks?

If that's the case and it seems brighter how does the construction look on it as far as quality?

Alright guys I have had a hair to get some LEDs, I think I'm going to start off with the reverse lights. I have been looking at quite a few different options and I'm stuck on these guys. The flush mount is what I'm liking here, not much of a fan of lights hanging off of things so this looks to be a good option for me...

Thoughts?

while it looks clean on that tundra and im sure they are bright ass hell, there is no way i would pay $250+ for those lights.
i bought these from a local guy for $32 for the pair. i know i got them at a very low price but even if i had paid $100 for them id still be happy.
they are single 10w led chips and light up a good 75 feet behind my truck with more then enough light. the clear one is tired into my reverse lights and the amber is on a switch for a dust/warning light. all i had to do was make a small bracket to mount them off of.

I hear you on the price but I have got what I have paid for paying less, I'm cutting holes in my bumper and I need them to last, I also need the diffused pattern to get full coverage not just spot or flood. I have looked and haven't found anything as clean as these and I don't mind paying for it anyway. If I had an aftermarket bumper I would have way more options as far as mounting but with the stock one it's either flushed in or lights hanging off of something and that's what I'm trying to avoid.

Anyway going to order them this week will post up pics when I'm done
