22RE Radiator replacement

I have a question. My '94 2WD pickup, automatic, extended cab, has a pin leak in the radiator. I ordered a new one from NAPA, and when it came in and I started to install it, I found that the fittings were repositioned. At the bottom of the radiator there's a large coolant fitting, and two smaller transmission cooler fittings. The large coolant fitting and one of the smaller transmission fitting were reversed in position, making the radiator not fit right. Basically, there are two angled stamped steel pieces below the radiator, and the way the NAPA radiator was made the lower coolant hose wouldn't fit because the lower radiator coolant outlet was pressed up against one of the angled stamped steel arms, and the hose wouldn't go on.

So, my question is this: has anybody here bought an aftermarket radiator for an A/T equipped 22RE that actually was configured just like the stock unit, all the fittings in the same location? Where do I get one, other than the Toyota dealer ($400+ for a radiator).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Weird.
I bought one for my '93 22re (but its a 5spd) from NAPA at the end of October and it fit just fine. It was an aftermarket one of course, so it had the ATF cooling lines anyways. Maybe that one is defective?

They might be a little different between 2wd and 4wd though actually..

I'm sorry, I didn't keep a record of the part number. It looked exactly like the stock unit, just that the transmission cooler inlet/outlet and the water outlet at the bottom were switched. They even had little drawings at NAPA on the computer of the radiators, and they couldn't find me one that had the fittings like mine. Maybe I'll just try a different parts supplier. Thanks.

My buddy had a similar prob with a chevy rad. He found brass fittings to make it fits. Seemed to work ok.

I bought one from autozone, exactly like the stock one - except it sat an inch higher - hood wouldn't close.

Got one from Advance and it fit perfectly.

Got mine from the local radiator shop. Only differance, the drain fitting wasn't there. Price was resonable as well.

I can't seem to get anything from Napa correct. Get them to order another one or return it and try somewhere else. I gave up on them. Good luck.
