Need help Seat belt buckle won't disengage!

So I have 91 4runner, and the other day I pull into my driveway when to my surprise, my seat belt buckle won't disengage when I push the button! After being trapped in my drivers seat for about 5 minuets I slither out from undereath my seat belts. When I push the button to undo my belt it just goes in and nothing happens. I tried a search but could only find info on fixing the belt retractors. Any ideas what I need to fix this? Should I just buy a new buckle/seat belt assembly? Anyone know how much they are? I'm guessing I'd have to get this part from the dealer ship or a junk yard.
Thanks guys.

just buy a new end (the piece that it goes into). Once they break they never tend to work right. Unless something fell down there and is jamming it, and you can figure out how to get it unlatched, and the object removed.

I had a 93 explorer and had em break (wouldnt latch) so I bought one off a guy parting out a truck on a forum. He shipped both of em for $15, and I ended up selling the one i didnt need for around $100 on ebay.

I see, any idea how I get the two pieces apart since they are stuck together now?

Cut it off after you get a replacement? I'd say a Dremmel, a regular cut off wheel, a hacksaw...maybe even a pair of bolt cutters & a large screwdriver to pry with would get it off. Shouldn't be to difficult.

I'd unbolt it if you can, and cut it apart with a hacksaw while holding it in a vice...or you could get fancy and use the jaws of life

Well I ended up fixing it, I pushed the button down and pulled out some little plastic debris in there with tweezers and blew in there real hard to try and get all the dust and junk out. Don't know if that was what fixed it, but it works now! Thanks guys
