93 toyota pickup 4wd dash light stays on

Well I am back
I got a problem, the dash 4 wheel drive green light stays on even in 2 wheel drive and in neutral!
I have in the past two years pretty much have rebuilt this truck
a new rebuilt v6 motor a new clutch, had to really replace much of the dash
as the previous owner had hacked it to death but I did have to replace the dash panel but I made sure it was the same as the old broken one
so I do not think it is that but I do not remember when my son got this truck if that light was staying on then
down underneath on the pass side on the transfer case by the rear there
is a wire plug, I have disconnected it and the light stays on still !
does anyone know were the 4 wheel drive switch for that light is at??

on a side note we have like I said kind of rebuilt this whole truck
and instead of painting it my son wanted to put that raptor liner on the whole truck thank God he talked me into that it did not have to take
100's of hours of body work and prep

ADD? do not know what that is
this is a manual trans with manual 4x4 shifter
but the engine has tons of vacuum lines on the 3vze v6 but none go
down to the tranny or transfer case as I can see
the 4x4 all works just put it in 4 low or 4 hi or 2 wheel drive and it all works
the front axle have free or locked manual hubs

If your differential has a switch like this:

unhook the plug, and the 4WD light should go out.

If your front differential is actually disconnecting, the switch itself is your problem.

This FSM link will help you understand ADD.

If your truck has been retrofitted with manual locking hubs, the ADD system may have also been permanently locked in.
This would account for your light always being on.

I truly Thank You for your help millball !!
I have been under the front of this truck and I might be wrong
but I do not remember seeing no electric plugs of any type on this front axle
but I think I might be wrong I got Monday off so I will go and look I will post what I find
Like I said the previous owner had hacked and abused this truck then when it was worn out suckered my son in trading his motorcycle for it
now it is almost a new truck except this bug with the 4x4 light and some small stuff

But THANKS for the HELP

Bill

Got to look under the truck this morning
and there is no switch or sensor on the front axle of this truck
there is not even a place for or were an actuator was or should be
is there a sensor up on the transfer case to turn this light on and off??
this is the only place else I can think of were it should be
but don't want to go digging around and open anther can of worms

Thank Bill
