91 4runner Power windows wont work
I am stuck parking my runner in the garage until i can figure out why my windows wont roll up. They seem like they arn't getting any power, but I am not sure. They stopped working and I really need some help with this. If any one knows how to fix this or has had this problem fixed before it would be great to get some help. Thanks.

If the lock is OK, see:

Yeah I checked that first thing, not on. A buddy said it might be a bad ground or power supply to the windows. Thanks for the link, but the problem is with all of the switches so i dont think it is that I am going to check right now anyway. If any one knows how to check the ground/power to the windows some advice would be great. Thaks for the input so far.

So I figured it all out. I checked the switches for the problem in the link above and it wasn't that. I then just took my truck down to my buddies audio shop and he is the master at anything electronic in cars. He checked all the ends for electricity and the lock was the only thing getting power so he then ran a line directly from the window power to the battery and sure enough all of them went up. He says he has had a lot of people coming in for this same reason. He didnt have enough time to fix it at his shop, so I am taking it to his house on sunday and he is going to re-wire the dang thing, but for now atleast I have my windows up again.
Thanks for the feedback guys, I love this site!

Update on the window situation.
I took my truck over to my buddies today and the actual problem was were the window wires plug into the relay box behind the dash on the drivers side. He said that the windows get dirty and the tracks get dry and it causes teh windows to draw more power at the relay box causing the plugs to carode at the relay. So he cleaned the plug for me and lubed my windows with silicon spray and they work better than when i bought the thing. It took a total of 5 minutes when most people get ripped off at the dealership. I am happy with the outcome and am going to make sure to "lube my windows". I hope this helps some one in the future
