'91 4Runner, electric sunroof won't work
Title pretty much explains it. When I hit the button that should open the power sunroof, nothing happens. The power windows work fine, though the back ones are a little sluggish. The rear window only opens with the key, the switch in the center console doesn't do anything. I was wondering, maybe are they on the same fuse? Where should I start looking?

Looked at the owners manual (for whatever reason mine came with one out of a '94, even though the car is a '91), and checked the fuse, which seems to be fine. The booklet said the windows and such are on the same circuit, so I guess a bad fuse is out of the question...is this a common thing? Anything simple I can do to fix it, or just deal with it?

Looking at my 1990 Toyota 4Runner EWD....
First check the 10GA fuse marked "gauge" at the main fuse block, DS kick panel (interior). That's the only fuse I can see that would effect the sunroof.
I think I might take a look at the sunroof switch console housing next and see how hard that would be to take it apart.
If not to bad, I'd then check for 12v at the switch. If I had that, I'd assume I had a bad switch. On my EWD it shows that the 12v will be the blue wire.
It's actually a somewhat complicated circuit.
There a 3 relays involved:
Sun roof relay (DS kick panel, main fuse block... hanging off upper right, group of 2 relays, 1 CB)
Door control relay (will be hard to find, but above left kick panel, under dash to left of comb meter.... there are 3 relays there)
Integration relay (I am fuzzy on this one... but it's on the main fuse block, DS kick panel)
1 circuit breaker:
30A Power CB (DS kick panel, main fuse block... hanging off upper right, group of 2 relays, 1 CB)
1 fuse:
10A Gauge fuse (Left kick panel, main fuse block)
Should give you enough info to get started... or utterly lost.
