SDHQ Off Road Toyota Tacoma Builds

If you’re looking for inspiration for your Tacoma project, make sure to check out this shop’s killer build gallery!

Right now, everyone — including yours truly — is wondering about the specs of the 2024 Tacoma. At this point, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect in regards to hardware, as some of the decisions made for the all-new Tundra have likely tricked down to its smaller sibling. But given the popularity of the segment-owning rig, we’re going to be seeing builds on the current platform for the foreseeable future.

And if you’re looking for ideas on how to create your ultimate Toyota Tacoma? Well, I’d highly suggest taking a look at this gallery over on SDHQ Motorsports. None of the customer vehicles showcased on the Arizona-based builder’s site are over the top, but instead judiciously use choice aftermarket bits to transform the look and functionality of the venerable off-roader.

I liked all of them, but the four pictured here were my personal favorites. As for the absolute coolest ones? I’m torn between two. Obviously, I totally dig the Cement Pro in the lead image, which features a trophy truck style spare setup, a Magnuson Supercharger, an ICON Vehicle Dynamics suspension system, LED lighting from Baja Designs, and a Prinsu Roof Rack.

But I also totally love the overlanding-ready Project Sandstorm, with its capped off bed, big lift, and apocalypse-read front bumper. If this baby had a roof tent on it, that would have made it a no brainer. Along with the builds, SDHQ features loads of performance parts, and is currently advising interested folks to just order the kit they want — even if it’s back ordered. Because with the current supply chain situation, most parts are sold before they even arrive.

Check out the site to see more builds from this killer shop, and let me know which one is your favorite!
