There are lots of things to love about the Toyota Tacoma. After all, it’s a reliable, capable, rig that also holds its value. So even if you have to sink some cash into an older model? Plenty of experts will tell you the trucks are worth the investment. But unless this is your first time on the Internet, you’re likely aware that the harshest criticisms of anything — be they restaurants, bands, or vehicles — come from the superfans.

So to find out what pet peeves the enthusiast community has about the beloved mid-size pickup, I focused on the third-generation trucks, and went down a deep rabbit hole on YouTube.

Unsurprisingly, I found that a lot of folks had similar issues. In the interest of full disclosure, I want to say that while I watched a lot of videos, I found the ones by Squared Away Everyday, Yota Xpedition,  and Matt’s Taco Truck to be the most comprehensive. On that note, here we go.
