Toyota Land Cruiser Goes Vertical on Crazy San Dune
In extreme (and extremely awesome) off-roading clip, a Land Cruiser slays heights and laws of gravity on an epic sand dune.
When we came across this clip on Reddit we had to pick our jaws up from the floor. According to the comments, this was filmed in the desert dunes of the Middle East. Now that is rough terrain to begin with, but add in a incline of about 90 degrees? Crazy. But apparently this Toyota Land Cruiser fears nothing.
It was appropriately posted to the Next F*cking Level subreddit. And it is a whole other level of Yota dominance. Redditor Capitalbad simply titled the clip “This belongs here.”
So we see the Land Cruiser going along in the sand, then, without warning it heads up a huge dune. It is literally driving vertically to the the top, Wow!
Of course, many of the comments were in praise of Toyota’s badass Land Cruiser. “Very well might be the greatest vehicle ever invented by man,” said Afeil117. And Chershare added, “Old Land Cruisers can climb trees, so why not a soft concave mountain?” FUWalmart3000 appreciates not only the rig, but its fans. “I never knew there was a Land Cruiser cult following. And then, mere days after I got my drivers license, I drove to a babysitting gig in my parents Land Cruiser. Pulled up, and the father had to go out and inspect the LC, even had me pop the hood! From then on, I can never look at those cars the same. Do I know what’s special about them? No, no idea. But I recognize them and appreciate that they’ve got a fan club.”
Yeah they do.
Of course, some posters just cracked us up. Such as this helpful hint from A_cat_typing, “The technique is simple: have children. Sooner or later they’ll drive you up the wall.” Many commented on the daring it took, but maybe none better than Icahntsphell, “Surprised he got up there with his massive balls of steel weighing him down.” Shekel_merchant replied to the clip, “Well that escalated quickly.” And Redditor ThorinSmokenshield suggested a new moniker might be necessary, suggesting “Toyota Sand Cruiser.” We like it.
1981Ruled summed it up well, preaching to the YotaTech choir: “The mighty Land Cruiser. Greatest vehicle ever built. Amen.”
