Builds and Fixes: Top Posts on YotaTech in 2021
Well, it was another crazy year, but there was still plenty of good news amid all the madness of 2021.
After the hot mess that was 2020, it was a tremendous relief at 12:01 on January 1st, 2021, when the calendar rolled over and everything instantly returned to normal. Up until that point, it wasn’t clear if a shift in humanity’s artificial construct of time would have an impact on the state of the world. But fortunately, that’s exactly what happened. You know, except for the fact that it didn’t. This year proved rife with challenges for both the auto industry and the world in general, and few folks — outside of the nation’s car dealers — will look back on it fondly.
That said, even though Tacoma production was briefly paused, 2021 wasn’t all bad! YotaTech’s own Michele Lupini drove the 300 Series Land Cruiser, Toyota brought an amazing new-school Chinook to SEMA, and after a wait that seemed eternal, we got our first look at the next-generation Toyota Tundra.
It was also encouraging to see that Toyota’s plan for electric vehicles hasn’t left enthusiasts out in the cold, and that in a pinch, an old Hilux can make a pretty good boat. Now, we’ll have to wait to see if 2022 is the year that Toyota Cressida Wagons finally become the next big thing. But before we bid a not-so-fond farewell to the year, let’s take a look at some of the most popular stories on YotaTech in 2021. From tribute builds, to helpful fixes, to overlanding tips, there’s something for everyone here. Well, unless you don’t like Toyotas. Then you’re out of luck.
