Supercross Tacoma Build Gifted to Very Deserving Veteran
Incredible Tacoma was supposed to serve as an off-road therapy truck. Instead, it became the surprise of a lifetime for one of our nation’s heroes.
It all started when Feld Entertainment, producers of awesome stuff like Monster Jam, approached the good guys at Warfighter Made about building a Supercross Tacoma. Warfighter is already in the business of helping disabled veterans modify their vehicles so they can continue to do the things they most enjoy. The build process was documented during live broadcasts of Supercross Live events.
But unlike other builds, this one was different. The idea was to not only document and highlight the important work that Warfighter Made does but to also give it away to one deserving military veteran. That hero is a wounded vet by the name of Craig Hall. To keep things under wraps, the crew had to work under the guise that the Supercross Toyota was to serve as a vehicle for the organization’s off-road therapy trips.
The result of several weeks of thrashing is one seriously impressive truck. The laundry list of impressive parts includes a Total Chaos mid travel kit and Fox shocks. Rolling stock consists of 17-inch Method Grid Titanium wheels wrapped in 285/70R17 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires. But the incredible custom bed with flip-up fenders and an integrated ramp might just be the centerpiece.
The guys at Warfighter Made spent many sleepless nights putting the Tacoma together. But in the end, it was worth every ounce of sweat because seeing the look on Hall’s face is quite simply priceless. Hall even got to drive it out on the Las Vegas Supercross track in front of thousands of fans. The whole experience was nothing short of surreal, he says. But it’s the least we as Americans can do for one of the many men who sacrificed everything to protect our freedom.
