Gorgeous 1983 Toyota Pickup up for Grabs in YotaTech Marketplace
Sporting a few tasteful updates and in impeccable condition, this early Toyota pickup is certainly lustworthy.
It’s getting harder and harder to find old Toyota pickups in nice condition. Most of what’s out there has been driven into the ground, left to rot, or just plain expensive. And it’s easy to see why, of course. These classic trucks were built like tanks, and people treat them as such. So when we come across a real diamond in the rough, we certainly take notice. And YotaTech member rickc5‘s beautiful 1983 Toyota pickup up for grabs in the Marketplace most certainly fits the bill.
You certainly won’t find many early Toyota trucks in this kind of condition. Even more impressively, it’s also largely original. That includes the paint, which has a few minor imperfections but otherwise looks great. The seller describes the pickup as a “survivor” with some restomod upgrades. Those additions consist of just the seats, console, exhaust and a carburetor. And that’s pretty much it.
The bucket seats and console came out of a 4Runner and are in absolutely amazing shape thanks to new upholstery. The engine has been treated to a real deal Weber carburetor and LCE header. All of the smog stuff was removed, which nobody will ever miss. But the rest of this beautiful ’83 is pretty much all original.
It might also be one of the cleanest such trucks we’ve ever laid eyes on. From the engine bay to the undersides, it looks like it’s been sealed in a vault for years. Even the lettering on the tailgate is in impeccable shape, which is strange to see. There are no cracks in the dash, no wear on the steering wheel. Certainly, this classic pickup has led a pampered life.
The seller is asking $13,500 for the old Toyota, which seems very fair given its condition. We’ve seen some pretty crazy prices on these things recently, so we don’t think this is a reach. And if you find yourself more than a little tempted by this beauty, be sure and head over here to check out the entire listing. And maybe even claim it for yourself!
