YotaTech‘s Five Cool Reddit Finds of the Week
Rockcrawlers, chair-carriers, and old-school Hilux quad-cabs are among the things we found in r/ToyotaPickup this week.
Every once in a while, we at YotaTech find ourselves looking through Reddit to find the coolest items related to Toyota trucks and SUVs, with the aim of presenting them to all of you.
This week, we found five such things, all in r/ToyotaPickup.
Let’s start with the above, described by poster KiloIndiaNovGolf as the “Grind Hard Plumbing Co. Crunchy Taco.” The Tacoma is owned by YouTube channel Grind Hard Plumbing Co, who has their own subreddit, r/GrindHard.
This Hilux, crossposted by Tired_Thumb from r/IdiotsInCars, is working really hard hauling what appears to be an entire restaurant’s worth of tables and chairs down the highway. That is one hell of a balancing act, but if any truck can handle it, it’s a Hilux.
Over in New Zealand, this Hilux Double Cab owned by Is_that_right_44 has a V8 swap with intake throttle bodies popping out of the hood, and a slammed stance for cruising low and slow on the street.
Back here in the United States, donttakemeseriously69 and his dad received a ’79 Truck from the Redditor’s grandfather, which had “a ‘camo’ paint job” when it first arrived. It has a five-speed manual, which he says ’79s didn’t have originally, and the frame is in good shape.
Finally, this Truck found by KnewdIrection will make everyone sleepless in Seattle, thanks to the big metal cow skull welded onto the hood. The patina and drab green paint with black wheels are a nice touch to this little pickup.
