Toyota RAV4 XLE Giveaway is a Sincere Salute to American Heroes

Through the power of 150 words, six lucky military vets will have a shot at a 2019 RAV4 XLE thanks to local Milwaukee news station WITI-TV.

Our military servicemen and women put their lives on the line in defending our nation. Their families, too, give more than most when their loved ones are sent to the battlefield. Simply put, there’s nothing any of us could ever do to pay back the debt of gratitude we owe to this rarefied group of people.

But it doesn’t mean some can’t try. Milwaukee FOX affiliate WITI-TV has teamed up with local Toyota dealers in the area to give away a brand-new 2019 RAV4 to one veteran and their family.

From now through February 14, viewers are encouraged to submit a 150-word-or-less essay about their chosen veteran or family of a veteran, explaining where, when, and which branch they served, and why they chose them to win the RAV4. The nomination should include a photo of the nominee, and veterans can nominate themselves, too.

On February 27, WITI will present the six finalists on the floor of the Greater Milwaukee International Car & Truck Show during a live newscast. Each finalist will then draw an envelope, with only one holding the keys to the new RAV4, which will be an XLE model with all-wheel drive.

And the best part: the Toyota dealers will cover all taxes, licensing, and other fees, ensuring the winner only has to worry about how to drive the RAV4 out of the car show. This a truly amazing thing Toyota and WITI are doing for those who serve.
