Gone in 30 Seconds: Tundra-Driving Thieves Rob Shop in Record Time

The Toyota Tundra is truly a multi-use vehicle. But while most folks use them to commute or enjoy some off-road trails on the weekends, it appears that the Tundra is quite capable of less savory tasks as well. Like robbing stores in a hurry. Because that’s exactly what happened recently in Zephyrhills, Florida.
According to the Zephyrhills Police Department, a group of thieves drove through the front of Sunshine State Armory and proceeded to steal an unknown amount of firearms and ammunition. As you can see in the video, the entire incident takes place in 30 seconds, which has to be some sort of record.
The suspects’ accomplice met an unfortunate fate: The Tundrawas later found torched in a wooded area near the crime scene.
It took the police all of one minute to respond to the scene, but it was too late. And while the three suspects are still on the loose, their accomplice met an unfortunate fate. The blue Tundra was later found torched in a wooded area less than two miles from the crime scene. The truck turned out to be stolen, of course.
If you happen to live in the area or have any information regarding the theft, you could potentially cash in. The ATF Tampa Field Office is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrests of said suspects. Look at it this way – you’re doing a good deed, and possibly scoring the cash to buy some parts for your own Tacoma. And if nothing else, do it for the poor Taco that was sacrificed in the name of crime.
