Fourtreks Modular Hi-Lift & Axe/Shovel Mounts, written by Corey 04-28-2007

Explore Luke's site above and you will see that he has dual tool holders for an axe and shovel, single took mounts, and of course the Hi-Lift mount. His mounts use a modular ring that bolts together with high quality hardware which uses an allen wrench.

The rings which can also be ordered separately come in various sizes to fit many different brands of roof racks. I choose 1.75" as that is the size required for the FJ Cruisers OEM rack.

The rings and mounts are made out of aluminum and connect together with each other to make a complete mounting system. I choose to put the Hi-Lift mounts on the passenger side of my rig, and the axe/shovel mounts on the rear.

The latter could also have gone on the drivers side, but I wanted to try the rear, and it is easy to access when standing on my bumper. As high as my roof is, I can still reach the Hi-Lift one easily to take the jack off the rack.

Here are some links to what I bought. Both mounts let you pick what size diameter rings you need to match them to your roof rack. Simply measure your rack and you can place your oder on Luke's website or give him a call.

The axe/shovel mounts utilize the Quick Fist rummer mounts and are adjustable to fit various size handles on your tools. The Hi-Lift mount utilizes big knobs that are easy to grip with the naked hand or if you are wearing recovery gloves.

I give both of these products two thumbs up bigok.gif

I have not tried it, but I am sure if one has a bumper such as the ARB like I do, Luke will have rings big enough that you could even mount the Hi-Lift jack to your bumper like I have seen others do before with other Hi-Lift type mounts.

Below are a few pictures of the mounts on my FJ Cruiser.
