The East Coast 4Runner Jamboree '06 will be held from August 18-20 at Paragon Adventure Park in Hazleton, PA .
Mark your calendars, and schedule your time off from work now!
For those who have been before you know the deal. Hopefully this year will be the biggest ever. Planning got started sort of late, but things are underway and more info will be coming by the end of the week.
For those who haven't been and may not have heard about it, this event is pretty informal and is open to anybody with a 4WD Toyota, stock condition or highly modified. There will be guided trail rides each day for all skill levels, from first timers with shiny paint to old veterans with complete tube buggies.
More details will be coming soon, but here is some basic info:
*Cost will be $35 for one day, $60 for two days, and $80 for all three. (This is the park entrance fee only. There is no other fee to attend the event).
*There will be a raffle of some sort (details are still being sorted out). There will be some pretty good prizes donated by national vendors and local shops.
*Camping will be about 10 minutes from the park at Red Ridge Lake Campground. Their usual rates will apply.
To register, simply send an email to EC4RJ@yahoo.com.
Check back soon for more up-to-date info. . .

I'm looking forward to it, but will take a detour Saturday afternoon to do some racing a little south in Kempton (just off I-78 north of Kutztown). Street stock drags Saturday evening http://www.ec4wda.org/regionb/Events.aspGot beat in the finals last year by a 3.7L Liberty, but it was my fault. I ran almost a tenth of a second faster than him, but lost on the hole shot. i already know he'll be back this year, so revenge will be mine.... nice sized 1st/2nd trophies for each class, plus a "top eliminator" challenge where the class winners square off.
Only 1 or 2 Toys usually show at these things, and how cool would it be to get a bunch to overwhelm the J**Ps, Chevys & Fords?

anyone planning on camping or are a lot of people gonna stay at the comfort inn? discount rate availible? I'd rather camp because I'm cheap, but if no one else is gonna camp, I'm not. Got my front end apart this week, so I should be able to drop in my new CV on my days off this week, just need to trick someone into welding on my sliders.

Most people will be camping. Red Ridge Lake is good about setting up large groups with a central spot for everyone to camp. They have a large bath house/toilet, a small camp store, etc. It's a decent campground.
