Can't make it, my SAR team is having an advanced rescue field exercise this weekend.

Be careful, deer hunting season is still open. I've been on the trails in GWNF during hunting season and have heard hunters firing pretty close to us. Some hunters aren't as careful as others and will shoot at anything that moves.

I will be sure to keep hunting season in mind. It looks like quite a few VA guys from ih8mud are going to join. Should be a nice day in the mountains.

I picked up a Gazetteer today. I am without GPS, but I am comparing the FR on the map with trails I remember running. A lot of the trails are not on the map. I am very accurate within a small area (Riven Rock) b/c I have camped between the start of the forest and the large damn off 33, a few miles away from WV.

I have heard Flagpole is a pretty run, but not challenging. However, there are a number FR on the North side of 33 that I have not run. Possibilities are open.

There was also a lot of rain earlier this week, so the trails should be wet. I am not worried
