GWNF Oct. 14-16
My wife and I are going back to the GWNF for the weekend. Camping, wheeling, gourmet food, fishing and a fire. Last week we scouted a perfect camping spot and want to claim it for ourselves. It is right next to a creek and fun trail we ran for over an hour ( I am sure it has a name, but....)
Anyone that is interested post up. It should be beautiful with perfect weather.

With all the dry weather trees are already loosing their leaves. If we get some substantial rain in the next week or so, I am sure the landscape will change a great deal between now and then. It's like a switch gets flipped
I can't wait...Brandon has already started putting meals together. Homeade stew, oatmeal bread, pork ribs, pancakes (all organic and basiclly from scratch--damn the wife loves cooking)

I am headed to Hull Street Outlet for surplus military gear. Going to pick up a dutch oven, rack for grilling, small axe, an extra tarp and I am also going to bring some firewood from my yard. I cut down a few trees last year, so we will have a good start.
Bring plenty of drinks (water and beer) I know we are having a bacon and egss, pork ribs and homeade beef stew. This will be camping at its' finest
