I just went through your swap post - thats amazing! Are you still looking to get some extra work? The only stopping me from doing a motor swap at this point is finding someone to do it. My friend who is also a Toyota master mechanic has been hounding me to do a 7MGTE swap for a long time now - he builds supra race cars and Toyota based crawlers at his shop in Chanlder. But I'm hoping to help out as much as I can with the swap and for insurance and other policy reasons, I can't just jump in his shop and leand a hand whenever I want.
I'm getting ready to head up to The Cinders up in Flagstaff for the weekend with a local off road group called Off Road Passport - if you are looking for some great people to go wheelin with - besides me of course - they are some of the best people! offroadpassport.com
Thanks for your help so far. I have a quick question that I figured the board might not help me on. I couldnt figure out how to adjust the settings on my scanner and I finally got an adapter to plug into the laptop. I took my MAF readings and converted them to g/s on the OBD software. It looks like theyre running from 7.5 to 18 out of load. The lbs/min is matching the rpm but after conversion my MAF runs up to about 50 g/s under load. Does this mean my MAF is shot? No codes on it.
