I have a 1986 Toyota 4x4 extra cab pickup. I am having water temperature gauge reading problems. The temp will go a little high then drop to normal, then go to the bottom of the indicator. My mechanic installed another temp gauge and sensor under the dash with wiring and the temp still fluctuates to the high side. He says I have a head gasket leak, leaking combustion gas into my cooling water.? Any suggestions?
