what i would do is attach the mud flap to a piece of 1x1 square and weld a piece of square with a 1" i.d. to the frame and drill a hole through both pieces of square so that you can slide the 1x1 picece into the piece welded to the frame and stick a pin to hold them together and have quick release mud flaps. if that makes any sense.

I have read the write up 4crawler did. I like his idea but they are not big enough and they are only for the rear. I had to take off my front ones so my tire will clear and so I now have to replace them too. I don't think his idea will work for the front because I am going to have to mount the mud flaps behind the front wheel well so my tires can clear.

this is what i had done at the local shop. they just took some thick semi flaps and cut them down and welded to the frame. its fast and easy. but still freaking ugly. i hate that utah requires these.

nice pics of mud flaps guys, i currently have a fix it ticket for not having any. the mounts i made for the mud flaps ripped off on my last rubicon trip.
once i saw a guy with 39's on his toyota and he had tiny stock jeep mud flaps on and they said jeep on them which was pretty funny.

Using 92 TOY's idea...
I've stuffed tires into them more than a few times and so far they're holding up nicely and doing a great job.

quick disconnects (the bolts were just temp till i made it to Lowes for the banana clips)
I gotta find a better flap though, these royally suck. The rubber cracks and rips and I've had them fall off twice now.. not including all the times ive gotten lazy and not taken them off and ripped them off wheeling haha.. but really, the rubber is really brittle I just re-attached them again this afternoon.
