Addicted's 96' 4runner using TG Tacoma SAS kit
This is Glade's new project. He found this 4runner for $3000. 96' 3.4L Auto. 203K on it. The guy thought it had a bad tranny. CEL was on, so we pulled codes and it was a cylinder 4 misfire. The rig would stutter when under load, so the seller thought it was the tranny. We swapped plugs and wires and no more issue.
Anyway, here is the build list.
TG 3" Tacoma Kit "C" with 5.29s and ARBs front and rear.
Rear 3" Tacoma kit
Dual cases (keeping the stock rear case)
37x12.5x17 Radial Trepadors

I HAVE to subscribe. Something about a 3rd gen SAS just makes me tingle with joy. I wanna see a few 4th and 5th gen SAS's at some point! (And not to spam, but on that note, if you've got links, lemme in on them.) Either way, this runner looks excellent and I'm excited to see the finished (well... Do we ever REALLY finish projects?) product.

Getting really close. Duals are in. Just need to cut holes for shifters.
Rear axle is in place and disc brake kit is on. We set the pinion angle today and will be dropping off drive shafts later today. Wheels are supposed to ship this week too. Hopefully it will be moving soon.
Sliders are built now too.

the runner looks so clean! can't believe it was only 3k. o whell the PO must be
and the build is textbook aweosome!
Is that assisted stering? or just a damper? I asume is assisted for
the quality of the build.
what did you used??

Well, she is driving. Wheels showed up yesterday and its out of the shop. We just need to finish up a few little things. FWIW, this thing is tall. Frame height at 28.25" when it left. Hoping that will settle at least 2" over the next couple weeks.
Next is sliders and a rear bumper.
