I have bumped the back window down a few times as well by mistake. Usually when I was working on a different car, but had my keys in my pocket. I usually wouldn't notice until I got in and started it.

I am thinking of making the remote only make the window go up, much more helpful IMO.

can't be too difficult to make that happen, I like wiring, and reading schematics.
probably need a relay involved.

I will post up how I did it, when I get to it. (not in a priority right now)

Have you tried the "duct tape" mod ? It's used to reduce the chirp's volume. Seems that's what other guys are doing:
