Cutting Rotors
When you get your rotors cut, do you disconnect the hub housing? I wanted to get my cut over the weekend, but my local machine shop told me I'd have to disconnect the housing. anyone else have this problem?

Don't do it
If you have a 2nd Gen, don't cut your rotors. You will be replacing them with NEW within 3-6 months (I replaced mine within a month or so after getting them cut).

some may say that repalcaing the rotors are more expensive , ut i will confirm that youll need to replace them anyways. it seems that some companies have decdided its cheaper to make thiner rotors , so if you turn the rotors they dont have enough metal to dissiapte the heat , my roomates and i have discovered this recently with his wifes honda, and i suspectthe same problm with my T-100 , the nice thing aboutthe honda rotrs is that they cost the same price as turning them at full price. i had my rotors turned on my t-100 and didnt haveto remove the rotor fro mthe hub , but they may be depending on the type of machine the shop you use has. i am experinceing rotor problems now after having mine turned , i may replacethem completely if it gets any worse.

If you have to bring in the rotors to the shop, then yes you will have to disassemble the hub, and it is recommended that you repack the wheel bearings.
