Also by time that engine gets into the mr2 I may have some N/A cams done up
I am working on installing the new cams into my Taco as I type this I got the dyno done for the before so now i can get this in then post the after results.
Should be about a week before we get the results then its a go for resale

LoL! That's not really productive. Butt dyno's just don't work well.
Maaaaybe if you beg him enough he'll dust off his gtech pro & isntall new firmware & make a few runs before his dyno date.
I wouldn't bet on it tho.

I just want to see the true gains from the cams and not from the standalone ems. Thats why I was requesting a completely stock engine with an aftermarket ems to be test versus one with a stock ecm.

heheheh yea there is a nice difference in the s/c.....DEFINATLY more air coming into the engine.
I was watching the ECU adjusting when i was half throttle...this will be on the dyno in about a week...they are busy right now until then But for now...back in the truck I go!

Just waiting for teh dyno shop to have a open space for me as there is a few different runs i want to setup there which requires some time. I also plan to get the 4runner 3.0 running well too so i can get a baseline run for it (lol thats gonna be funny as hell) if it can turn the rollers...
But as for the 5vz cams...testing them half throttle going uphill i notice a huge power incrase starting at 3800-4000rpm it feels like a turbo just spooled and the engine is breathing better. With the s/c i still get the same style launch as i always had...no real loss down low (again with the s/c)

me too
i wonder what the results will be like....i have looked at several cam no cam difference dyno charts when a supercharger is involved and power wise it goes up a bit but in those cases the torque just sky rockets i think thats what we will be seeing, but i know that there is some sort of increase cause things like breaking loose from 2nd into first downshift in the dry...never happened....
