Lets see... new skid plate...
made a 1" body lift:
installed body lift:
If i wasnt so lazy i would have made new mounts for my bumper at the shop today too, oh well. That can wait.
No official before/after picture, so heres the before:
Heres the after:
*you close your eyes.. and start to think upon the image of the 4runner... you slowly (dont hurt yourself there) imagine the body now one inch higher than anything else*
Everything went smoothly, i couldnt be happier!
Total cost:
$17 for 2' of 2" diameter (i had about 11 inches extra that I sold to someone for $5)
$20 for hardware (grade 5 bolts n such)
-$5 for the 11 inches I sold

Next up... Raising my drive train 1" and creating a custom cross member and skid plate for the transmission...

oh and, heres some good news:
Picked some sliders up from an awful nice english gentleman out wheeling on sunday!
Too short!
hmmm
that looks better!
Alrighty! Now i just need time to weld them on... :mad:

Oh Hai, those sliders have been on for a while.
Now the big news!
While in E. WA doing my usual:
A buddy had called me up and told me about a solid front axle at his parents place in yakima. So off we went to his place...
It was a bit.... grown over. and heavy. Yay for tractors.
We got it into my truck, but it was a tight squeeze... i pulled it off.
After getting it home and pressure washing it, i took it apart, cleaned EVERYTHING and now it resides in my bedroom.
Now to start stocking up SAS parts...
Now the big news!

Nope, i have an axle to put it on my wall. I think it will be nice, going for a toyota theme in my bedroom. I have the front clip off a hilux thats going over my bed, the axle will be above my window and some stock toyota alum rims will go over my closet!...

you gotta ask these days!haha what lift you going with? I've been thinking of SASing and leafing the rear end of mine as well :/

Honestly instead of cutting off all the link crap on my stock housing, i plan on finding a 90-94 pickup rear housing and using that... less to cut and grind off.

Yeah exactly. I was talking to one of the salesmen at TG and they said that the 3" is perfect for 35s but if you aren't satisfied with the overall stance, you can pull a few leaves and make it lower...
I was thinking of doing that too... theres an 85 front and a 88-95 rear end on Craigslist for 300 right now... but pismo is coming up... if they're still there after that, i'll snatch em up.
