Please help, need good referee CA

I've been trying to get my 4.3l converted 4runner to pass the referee for a couple months now with no luck. It has all the proper emissions equipment and now, they're saying that the stupid pipe from the STOCK 4.3l air cleaner can't be used. I don't know if they are giving me the run arround or what, but I need someone to direct me to a referee in California that isn't so ANAL about stupid little things, like not having the correct material on my vacuum lines or a purge valve that is CLEARLY there. I'm getting tired of this and am probably just going to put a diesel in it, register it with the DMV as a diesel, and never get it smogged again. I think i'll run the blackest smoke from the pipe that I can just out of spite.

i heard from so many people the ref program in california was scrapped last year...... go on google, or go to the DMV and ask to get a list of every ref in california, complete with numbers and addresses.

To go to another ref, call the BAR number like you did the first time and ask for an appointment with a different ref. Unless you fix whatever the ref failed you for, this most likely won't solve anything because the results of your previous appointments are now in the database. When you go to the different ref he will already know what you failed at, ask for the paperwork the previous ref gave you and ask if you fixed the issue. If you are legal, he should pass you.

If you swap in a diesel you still need to visit the ref.

You can search for ref in google. You will get the complete list with address.
