5vz-fe cam help needed
Long story short , I took on a head gasket job for my bosses son's 96 T100 with the 5vz-fe v6. Its been a struggle now for over a month. Being a Chevy guy and having no experience with any major Toyota engine work I'm about to go crazy. The Chiltons book I have been using keeps proving wrong and skips very important steps that I find out about after the fact.
So I pulled the cams off the heads without "removing the torsional force" in the intake cams. Which way and how much do I spin each sub gear to rewind the spring so I can finish this thing up.
Any help is appreciated as I think I have lost 5 years of my life to this yota :/
Thanks in advance
Brad

Welcome to YT, try one of the FSMs online here, lots of trucks had the 5VZFE and they were all basically the same: http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/index.html
