Fuel pump issues

Hi there, first time post not sure where else to turn. I have a 1991 toyota pickup 22re 5spd. Went to go start it one morning and wasn't getting fuel. Had a mechanic tell me the fuel pump went so ended up replacing it. Now that I have everything back together i cant even get the fuel pump to turn on let alone pump fuel. Found alot of similar threads but nothing that pertained directly to me. I have tried jumping Fp and +B and replacing the efi fuse, fuel pump still will not turn on. at a loss for what to do now. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Red face

First look for physical damage to the wires going to the pump .

After that time to break out the meter see if you have battery voltage at B+

Then we will go from there

Just what brand pump??

Anymore parts failing out of the box are not a surprise .
