Radiator Flush/ Coolant Disposal

Ok so maybe a stupid questions. I've searched and didn't find a whole lot. I know you are supposed to take old coolant to a disposal site for recycling or safe disposal. My question is when you flush the radiator with water 2 or 3 times (until the water comes out clear) what do you do with all that water. In my 97 5vze auto I've got a little over 2 gallons of coolant. Not a big problem for disposal, but when you rinse it a couple times that turnes into 6 or 8 gallons of stuff to take to the disposal site. Not a big deal either way but I figured I'd ask. Thanks.

After you drain the radiator, just flush it out and don`t worry about it, what your flushing out will be so diluted that it won`t hurt anything.

i always collect it just because, but you can dump it on the ground.

i'm just a neat freak, and i keep my workspace and property clean....i'm the kinda person that will scrub a tiny oil stain for hours rather then leave it.

NOTE i am NOT in anyway an enviornmentalist, tree hugger, hippie, etc. Al Gore is a waste of time!!

and if i have enough money to get 4mpg, then guess what, i'll get 4mpg, i could care less about propaganda "green house gasses", its my fuel, i'll do what i want with it. and if i paid for it, its none of your business what i do with it, or how many miles per gallon i get

I figure if it'll kill your dog, then don't pour it out on the ground, but mostly because my dog is the kind of dog that will find anything you've left out and eat, chew or otherwise destroy it and in that order.

Probably fine dumping the heavily diluted stuff though, just don't leave it pooling up anywhere an animal could drink it.

all my used fluids of any magnitude go into home depot 5 gallon buckets with lids. They're super cheap and it works nicely. Can duct tape them shut if you have to take anything in a car and just tie em up along the tailgate of the truck and they won't go anywhere.

IF you have a TA nearby that has a shop, most will let you dump it in there tank if you ask them, thats anything from coolant to oil to trans fluid or anything

Bump on an old thread, my loc autozones, advanced auto parts and prompts have huge tanks in the backroom they let you dump for free wether it's oil or coolant (2 different tanks) super convenient! Especially when I've accumulated enough waste oil jugs to fill up a truckbed.
