Where to start my build
Hey everyone, im new here but just wanted to say hi. I bought a 1993 sr5, extra cab 4x4. I have already done some simple fixes and upgrades (new clutch, power steering pump, starter) but I was wondering where to go from here performance-wise. I want to increase the power and performance of my truck without making a huge dent in myour wallet, anything helps thanks a bunch!!

You could start by telling us what engine is in your truck. What are you looking to gain from more power? Highway speeds? 2 lane passing power (HA!) ? Mostly street use or do you go off road too?

Haha sorry it's my first car, still getting familiar with all of it haha, but yeah..my bad, it's not a 22re.
I just want to give it a little more power to play around with.

Yeah I've been keeping up with maintenance very well, my dad owns a shop so that's not too much of a problem. I'm just looking for a little more power both on highway, and off road if possible.

best thing I can tell you is headers that don't cross over the back of your motor (stupid idea to put it there in the first place), cold air intake(love the k&n with a hood vent/ heat shield), and lower the gears.

As was said the3.0 is not a power house!!
If it was me the things I always do first start low to the ground and work up.
I make sure the brake system is as good as it can be completely redone with all new parts.
Then I look to the suspension and steering you don`t say how many miles these parts can be in need of tender loving care .
When was the last timing belt done?? Truck unloaded cheap because this was due??
Spend some time reading about this engine then think long and hard about if you really want to pour hard earned $$$ into this engine.
If you really want more drive ability do some research into the 3.4 swap rather then put money into the 3.0 .
Can we say Head Gaskets if you try to get to much out of the 3.0.
After all it is your vehicle and your decision in the end .
Good luck
