Replacing front axels
So I have a 91 4runner and I need to replace the front axles its a 4wd and I was wondering if I needed any special tools and could I easily do it myself.

Depends on what you are comfortable doing. There are threads here on replacing CV axles. No special tools really....some front ends need a large socket in the 33 to 35mm range depending on the nut.

Probably the only special tool you'll need is a pair snap-ring pliers. Other than that, its just a few various metric size sockets/wrenches.
One thing I might suggest is dislocating the lower ball-joints to get the axles in/out. It makes the job 90x's easier, IMO. Its only 4 14mm bolts, so nothing special.
