My shock broke woo hoo
Yo, new here at YotaTech, and I'm in need of a little advice. For as long as I've had my runner, I've always had a problem with it being a really rough ride, mostly in the back it seemed. Well, I was washing some mud off of my truck today and noticed this:
Now, to be honest, I'm not very knowledgeable in this field haha, but I've been trying to learn. Does anyone have any recommendations for shocks, or any options I might have?

Bilstein makes a fine shock absorber.. might be other good ones as well.
I've had good experiences with Bilstein shocks in the past. Or your local Toyota dealer would have a perhaps slightly "overpriced" part that would also be good quality. Sorry, but I haven't had much experience with other brands. The shocks that I have on my daily driver as of now (the '93) are still doing very well.

The first thing I did when I bought my 1st Gen 4Runner was to replace the shocks.
4WheelParts had a sale on the Pro Comp ES 9000 ....including front steering stabalizer. So I went for it.
I think I spent all of $125....! Lifetime Warranty!

I have had good luck with Rancho 5000s on stock and slightly lifted toyotas. They are a little stiff but have worked very well for me, Lifetime warranty is nice also. I currently run bilsteins on my 4runner, I dont have alot of time driving it(needs a rebuild motor) so I cant give any feed back on the bilseins
