just bought my first yota!!!
My whole life hearing rants and raves i decided to find my own toyota pickup. i did research and decided that the 95 before the tacoma was the best truck ever made. whats your thoughts on the best year pickup? Anyway so i found a 95 with little to no rust which is odd for newengland. Painted the underbody with POR15 magical stuff i might add. Now im looking for mufflers need to know what the best muffler choice is for general performance. then next on my list is front and rear suspension? my last question is do i just buy my own springs and weld eveything up and call it a ZUK mod or is their a kit? i tried to find a thread but no one really mentioned where to go. Thanks for any help in advance.

Way to go on the POR-15, I bought my truck in Rhode Island so I know how it goes with rust. I like my dynomax super turbo muffler I bought from Jegs. It was only around $50 shipped and it's not loud at all. It just has a nice overall sound, much better than stock.
Don't know where you are in New England but I had my whole exhaust bent up by Lou's Custom Exhaust in Westport Mass, they did a great job.

Im in love just took it out last night with my buddy in his tricked out jeep. once i popped that thing in 4 low it was a menace. its all stock decent tires and it seemed like it pulled up all the rocky hills and mud bogs better then his jeep.
Ya Pruney i live in ct thanks for the advice.I will defiently look into it.
One concern i have is with my tranny or transfer case. i hear a faint whining when in 2nd once i shift it disapears. might have to get it looked at. it hasnt gotten worse just worrys me. i dont know if its because its geared low or something is loose. I'm somewhat mechanicly inclined but not enough to diagnose transmission issues.
ill try to get some pics up for all you yota fanatics.

I think the japanese made toyotas are slightly better quality wise but that's just me. You can tell by the VIN, if it starts with a J then it's Japan. If it's a number then it's USA. I like my 1st generation trucks better than my 3rd gen because of the simplicity and ease of fixing anything plus they have the solid front axle

These trannies do tend to have a bit of a whine to them. I like to use Redline MT-90 full synthetic in my transmission.
