Installed coil spacers. Now i hear sounds while stopping?
Well i installed the coil spacers i bought from 4crawler a while back and have been cruising around and hitting a few beginner trails around here but when i slow down and am almost to a stop, i can hear what sounds like popping under the rear end.
I've checked everything and it all seems tight. I just climbed under the rear end again to check all the bolts and make sure everything was in place and as far as i could tell it was. The only thing i can think of is maybe my stock length shocks are being fully extended and it's making this noise?
Any other thoughts or opinions? I'd like to check everything before i spend money on longer shocks. I'm pretty sure these are close to new so if i can avoid replacing them for now at least that would be ideal.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I'll give that a shot but it's kind of weird. It doesn't make the noise every time i stop but it does do it quite often. Hopefully we can bounce it enough to imitate the sound. lol
I had a friend ride in the back seat today and he says it sounds like it's coming from directly under the rear seat. I just remembered there's a jack under the rear seat so i'll check that tomorrow also. lol, that'd be great if it turns out to be something so simple.

Haha, the 1st 4Runner I bought started having popping sounds before I even got it home. I found the jack, seated it properly and I haven't thought about it since!

Mine doesn't have a proper seat so i had to jack it up against the metal to hold it in tight. Anyways,I think that might have been the noise but i won't know for sure until i drive it again so i'll fill you in later. lol
We might be heading to a trail today so if we do that i'll definitely know if the sound has been fixed.

Good news, we took it out today and bounced around a trail in the dark for a few hours and haven't heard the sound since. Even more good news, i took my girlfriend with me and now she wants to sell her 07 corolla and buy a truck. haha, so we might have a new member soon.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I did try bouncing the truck before we left and wasn't able to get it to make the sound but i heard the sound at every stop light on the way to the trail entrance.

Sorry. "it" was referring to my 4runner. We took the 4runner offroad and could hear the sound on the way to the trail entrance but i guess it fixed itself and i haven't heard any noises since. I've checked the suspension again and everything seems to be fine. It just needed a good shaking is all.
