Brake Light Comes On

I just changed out all 4 rotors and pads. The left front caliper required replacement due to the original having a seized piston. After all parts were installed I bled the left front caliper to fill it. I then moved to the right rear, left rear, right front and back to the left front. I then repeated a bleed a second time around starting on the right rear, left rear, right front and finally left front.

After all was done I have plenty of brake pedal. Now the strange thing. If I pump the pedal about 6 consecutive times the brake light comes on. An annunciator sound is audible. A row of caution lights referring to the antilockbrakes, etc lights up. All this happens for about 5 seconds and then stops.

I took the vehicle for a testdrive. It stops fine. The brakes appear to be working normally. At no point during any braking does any of this caution stuff appear. It only happens when I sit still and pump the brakes repeatedly 6 times.

Finally, I can not say if this scenario was present prior to the brake service. In other words, I never sat and pumped the brakes repeatedly before the brake service so is it possible this is something that is normal and I just did not see it?

Does anyone have a comment?

You ever refill your brake master cylinder after bleeding?

Yep. It's full. I kept a close eye on the cylinder throughout the bleed process to make sure it never went too low.

Pull the ABS sensors and clean them, sometimes they can get dirty and cause a false code. I don`t know if this will fix your problem, but its worth a try.

Does it do it if you only pump the brake pedal 3 times?

So it only does it if you pump the pedal 6 times?

No Sir, It only does it when I am at a stop and I pump the peddle six times. It never happens when I am driving. When I am driving I have attempted to do six quick pumps with the brake peddle, kind of jerking the truck to a stop. It will not do it then. It only happen when I am at a stop and in park. Someone has suggested that it could be a Toyota feature telling me to stop over pressurizing the system. Do you buy this? In short, the brakes are working fine, it's this little issue that is nagging at me and I am not sure it really is an issue.
