Thanks for the response - that's good to know I can pair the stock booster with a larger MC and these calipers. I plan to keep the rear drums - think that will change anything (since you have discs)?
What vehicle did you get the 1" MC from (or what did you specify when shopping for it)?
Thanks

When i took my booster out there was a shim plate between the fire wall and the booster, so when i installed the v6 booster i got the extra room for the bigger booster. I can't remember how thick it was, but check the junk yards you might find one. I got all my parts from a 95 4runner, the only thing i got from an 89 cressida was the MC because the one from the 95 runner had a broken master cyl. reservoir tank.

the 1" mc will not be a problem with stock drums.
i think the 1' mc came with the 95 runner i got my calipers and rotors from
not 100% on that, i got a new aisan 1" mc from trail gear with the rear discs.
you can tell the differance by the way the lines comes out on the side on the 1" instead of on the top(front line) and the reservoir is connected to both ends instead of the rear only like my stock mc.
i bought a new mc, did'nt want to chance it as the mc is not expensive.

Thanks again guys - I'm shopping for a 95 MC on eBay, and coming across a ton that have only 2 mounting holes (as opposed to the 4 seen in my photos (mounting the MC to the booster).
What's up with that?
I do see ones with 4 bolt holes, which are more expensive. How would the 2-hole versions even mount up I wonder - and why are they listed as compatible with 95 4Runners, along with the 4-hole versions?
Seeing brands I recognize like Beck-Arnley and Cardone, and several no names, but from well-rated sellers.

You asked earlier about using vise grips first and then flare wrenches. I recently had good luck with using them at the same time. I put the flare wrench on, then clamped the vise grip down hard onto the head of the flare wrench itself. It kept the wrench from spreading open, and the fitting came right off.
The flare wrench had already slipped on that fitting a couple of times, and I was pretty impressed that this worked on a fitting that was already getting rounded edges.

OK, guys, Update here....
I just ordered the FJ80 Brake Master Cylinder, 1" Bore (140331-1-KIT) from Low Range Offroad (they are TG distirbutor, cheaper than TG's site, and had a 10% off discount code going on).
I also called my local auto parts store to confirm that the rotors for the 94 T100 and 95 4Runner (both V6 models) were the same size - they are the same part, so now I know what I'm getting (since they have the SW13B calipers).
Not sure when I'll get around to it but the parts are starting to come in. I'll post photos and progress along the way - I'm sure I'll have more questions too!
Thanks
Phil

forgot to update this, sorry!
I installed these calipers, rotors, pads and the MC, and bled the system - stops a hell of a lot better now. Little firm pedal feel, but I'm OK with that. I can finally lock up my 32's!!

I've heard different things - that the booster is necessary and also that it is bolt on. Ive also heard that it doesnt bolt straight on and that it is not needed.
Whats your take?

On my 87 4runner the booster bolted right on. On my buddy's 84 4runner he needed to do a little clearancing with a file. The bigger booster is important in my view.

Daddyota, Philbert was killed in a tragic accident earlier this year.
Maybe others will answer your question(s).
