Couple of random suggestions [may be wrong, I've never done this].

1-Supra AFM may be too large [engines gonna run lean].
2-You probably want to get an EFI fuel line, your lines [especially rubber and connections] aren't designed for the higher pressure.
3-suggest you wire in your DIAG box, with all the wiring. It may make troubleshooting easier down the road.

alltrac

Great suggestions here is what I am thinking so far

what is the DIAG box?

Going to to the swap with the stock AFM and after its all running try swapping in the supra AFM, there are alot of guys here who have done and have liked the results. I just want it to run right now.

I would rather go with the EFI line but I don't have it so I am expecting to need a few hose clamps. Reading the 22r to 22re faq on pirate some guys have done it with out upgrading the lines, I'll see how it goes.

DIAG box is a connector with a cover.
It's mounted in the engine bay and has a bunch of input/output wires spliced from the ECU [O2 signal, terminals to jump so you can check for codes, fuel pump bypass, fuel trim output, ect].
It just makes it easier to diagnose things, so you don't have to jump all over the vehicle acessing wires.
But, I was looking in that Celica engine bay, I didn't see a DIAG box. I forgot the very early EFI vehicles didn't always come with that connector [at least I don't think they did]; I'm not used to dealing with ones quite this old.

As far as the AFM, if someone else tells you it will work, go with them, I've never done it.

Be careful with the hoses, at least make sure the rubber you use is rated for 40+ PSI and use good clamps. You don't want a fuel leak around your engine, especially with your son in the truck.

The steel itself is fine I'm sure, it's the connections [ridges and clamps don't seal as well as a flared/threaded fitting] that are "weak".

yeah I didn't see a little diag box on any of my wiring .. it would be nice..

is it the little cover that is rounded a bit.. if so I don't have one..

As far as the AFM goes I am going to wait until after the rig is running before I give the supra one a shot... but now I think I should put in a wideband and moniter my AF

I do have a AFC I could put in

I think I will go ahead and buy a few hose clamps to replace all the spring clamps, I'll be sure to run the fuel pump for a bit and look for leaks. I would assume the regulator will work fine.

AC bracket for measurement before I headed out to the the junk yard

This was pic was taken at the junk yard for reference on where the fuel filter goes..
I hate bolting that damn thing on.. I only got one bolt in

Charcoal canister needed some massaging for the intake manifold to fit

LC engineering block off place ( waste of money)

New clutch line

22re throttle cable

After a crap load of wire work, engine harness is not routed into the cab

I had more pics..but I can't find my card reader...

progress report..

Battery relocation is complete

New to me AC belt is installed

Tried to start it for kicks, motor turns over but nothings firing.. not sure if its fuel or spark, or not getting Fuel and spark.

I didn't hear the fuel pump and I'm not sure I connected the ignition system up all the way.

To Do
1. Bleed clutch line
2. Check to see if Fuel pump is coming on
3. Check ignition system
4. Deal with a ton of wiring
5. Wire in check engine light
6. Wire in Speed signal, maybe?
7. Check all Vacuum lines
8. plug up pair holes on exhaust side
9. Mount AFM
10. verify 84 4runner and 84 Celica distributers are the same, otherwise swap

update:

There are now wires every where... and it starts up for a second but will not idle.

I have vacuum hoses that are not hooked up to anything, even the hose to the brake booster is still open, so the next step is to check all the lines and get them situated. Hopefully that will get me to idle. Otherwise I'll be back to checking wires, I thought I had enough of it set up to run. The fuel pump is now wired to come on with the ignition. I also have spark by watching the timing gun hooked up.

Whoa! pretty cool to see another "honda guy" on here, small world.
Your door jambs worked great on the car.
And great work on the truck.
